Draft — requires legal review
This page is a starting-point draft, not finished legal advice. It must be reviewed by a qualified legal professional familiar with UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018, and consumer/education law before this platform is used with real students or schools.
Our approach to AI
Where IT SkillForge offers AI-assisted features (AI Study Tutor, AI Code Debugger, Explain My Code, AI Webpage Reviewer), they are designed to support learning, not replace it.
- AI features use a pedagogical progression — hints before full explanations, explanations before solutions — rather than defaulting to a direct answer.
- AI features will not generate finished coursework, NEA submissions, or BTEC assignment evidence intended to be submitted as a student's own work.
- AI-generated explanations can be wrong or incomplete. Students should verify understanding rather than copying AI output directly.
For students
- Treat AI feedback as a study aid, similar to a hint from a teaching assistant — check it against your own understanding and your course materials.
- Your exam board and school may have their own rules about acceptable AI use in coursework and NEA — those rules take precedence over anything generated here, and it's your responsibility to follow them.
For teachers
- AI usage per student is not currently logged for academic-integrity investigation purposes in this MVP; schools requiring that level of oversight should treat AI features as supplementary self-study tools pending that capability.
Safety
AI outputs are moderated to keep interactions focused on learning. If you see an AI response that is inappropriate, inaccurate in a concerning way, or unsafe, please report it via the Contact page.
